Witness Appeal following Criminal Damage on 14 May 2022

Alert message sent 24/05/2022 13:31:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

At around 4.40pm on Saturday 14 May 2022, a white BMW was chased by two mopeds through the Lower Earley, Whitley and Shinfield areas. The mopeds have driven into oncoming traffic causing vehicles to mount the kerb. The BMW was then damaged with an angle grinder and had stones thrown at it causing damage to the rear windscreen.

The offenders are described as two men in their late teens to early 20s dressed in dark clothing and wearing crash helmets. One of the men was dressed in a dark top and grey jogging bottoms. It is believed that one of the mopeds was yellow and the other was a dark colour.

We are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who may have dash-cam or other media device footage that may help with this investigation.
