Alert message sent 16/05/2022 12:26:00

Information sent on behalf of Lancashire Constabulary

Today marks the start of Op Sceptre week. This is an entire week aimed at tackling knife and weapon crime. To kick off our week the Leyland NPT team has collected 40 knives from Moss Side Community Centre knife bin. The knives consisted off a host off household knives to a large samurai sword and machete.

Did you know certain knives like machetes, zombie knives and knuckle dusters are now illegal to possess even in your own home since the reform of the Weapons Act 2019.

Please utilise the local knife bins which are situated outside Leyland Station and Moss Side Community Centre for disposing off illegal or unused knives.
