Alert message sent 15/05/2022 17:48:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

Dear Coordinators and Deputy Coordinators,

Thames Valley Police have invited Neighbourhood Watch to attend a burglary awareness information session being held on Tuesday 24th May at the Oakwood Centre in Woodley.
Start time is 7pm, finishing at 9pm.

The purpose of this event is to inform guests about what this offence entails, how Thames Valley Police are trying to tackle the problem and how we can better protect ourselves from such offending.

The meeting will also present an opportunity to chat with Neighbourhood Officers and Detectives from the Priority Crime Team (Burglary), who will be able to provide crime prevention advice.

Speakers and Agenda:

DC Lord:          Introductions
                         Introduction to Burglary

SGT Boyd:       Burglary from an offender perspective

DC Walmsley: How Police tackle Burglary

DC Akram:      Good news

Paul Adkins:    The value of Neighbourhood Watch schemes.

The invitation to NHW is for anyone in our Local Policing Area (LPA), which covers the Wokingham and Bracknell borough council areas.

Spaces are limited which is why we can only invite coordinators and deputies. If the event is oversubscribed we will give priority to local people, but please note that there will be future events around the LPA.

If you are interested in attending this or future events please let me know by email at: bracknellandwokingham.nhw@gmail.com

I hope to meet some of you there.

Best wishes,

Paul Adkins
NHW: Area Representative - Bracknell and Wokingham
