Theft from a Motor Vehicle: Warwards lane

Good Afternoon,

An incident of Theft from a Motor Vehicle has recently been reported from Warwards Lane; details are as follows:

Date: 5th May

Time: 1440hrs

Method:The victim had parked their Silver Mercedes Sprinter van outside a property on Warwads Lane in order to deliver a parcel to an address on the opposite side of the road. The victim opened the rear door of their van and took out the parcel, delivered it and then got back into the driver’s seat. When the victim switched the engine on he was alerted that the passenger door was not closed properly. The victim then realised that their bag that was on the front passenger seat was missing. Someone had been into the van when the victim was delivering the parcel and stolen the bag and contents.

CCTV of the offender committing the offence has been recovered and enquiries are underway to identify the offender (further details unknown at present). Bank cards belonging to the victim were used in a supermarket after the incident, where a sum of £244.23 was spent.
