Information sent on behalf of Devon and Cornwall Police


Police are appealing for witnesses following reports of an assault which happened at a bus stop in Belle Meadow Road, Barnstaple, Sunday 27 March at around 7.25pm.
It has been reported that a woman aged in her 20s was stood at the bus stop with a child in a buggy when approached by a female suspect, who was possibly inebriated, and punched on the nose.   
The suspect is described as white woman, aged in her 40s, with brown hair in a messy bun.
Officers believe that there are a number of witnesses of this incident and ask for anyone with information, or with CCTV or dashcam footage, to call police on 101, or email 101@dc.police.uk, quoting reference CR/025961/22.
