Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

Hello Citizen

Neighbourhood Watch Week activities
Have you made plans for Neighbourhood Watch Week, 30th May – 5th June 2002? If so, we want to hear from you. We have upcoming opportunities to feature Neighbourhood Watch in media interviews and promotional videos. If you are interested in being featured, please email Deborah.waller@ourwatch.org.uk with your name, Neighbourhood Watch group name, town and region, and activity details.

If you want to arrange an activity and are unsure what to do, see our 40 YEARS, 40 ACTIONS PACK for inspiration. And don’t forget if you are organising a street party for the Queen’s Jubilee weekend, you can get free Public Liability Insurance by arranging it in Neighbourhood Watch’s name - just one of the many benefits of Neighbourhood Watch!

Supporting refugees
The invasion of Ukraine by Russia is a terrible and shocking event, which has killed thousands of people and upturned the lives of millions of people in Ukraine and challenges the sense of peace and security in Europe. It seems probable that the repercussions will impact widely across Europe and in our society, including for many charities responding to these events as they unfold. Several Neighbourhood Watch groups have been fundraising and supporting the efforts of many organisations to provide aid and supplies to the Ukrainian people. As more refugees are welcomed into homes in the UK, we encourage our volunteers to share their experiences and ideas on welcoming refugees into their communities in our Knowledge Hub forum here.

If you have not yet applied to join the Neighbourhood Watch Knowledge Hub for volunteers, you can do so here.

Best wishes
