Pop up Police Station at Asda Barnsley

Alert message sent 10/03/2022 21:22:00

Information sent on behalf of South Yorkshire Police

PCSO's Robinson and Winn have today hosted a Crime Prevention Stall at the local Asda Store on Old Mill Lane. This was an opportunity for members of the public to come and speak with their local officers in relation to any issues they feel warrant Police attention. Free Crime prevention merchandise such as, Smartwater, LED torches and purse bells were also available on demand for local people who attended the event. We also offered literature and advice on issues such as 'begging' as we as Neighbourhood Team have noticed an increase in the number of incidents recently reported from Asda and other retail outlets in the Barnsley area. Officers at North NPT aim to hold one event a month in the following ward areas St Helen's, Old Town, Darton East/West.
