Neighbourhood Watch 40th anniversary

Alert message sent 09/03/2022 12:18:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

The very first Watch was created in UK in 1982 and this year sees the 40th anniversary of its foundation.  Various initiatives are being undertaken to promote the idea of Community Watch schemes and one such scheme has been launched in Bournemouth & Christchurch who have come together in conjunction with BCP Council to promote a greater awareness of Watches and the many benefits they can have for local communities.  The administrators of this scheme are willing to meet with interested groups and discuss how they might help them.  A reduction in crime, a feeling of being part of a caring community and the chance to talk to designated Dorset Police Officers about what worries you are vital ingredients that will help everybody.

The professionally produced 'STAY SAFE' booklet, NW door stickers, 'no cold callers' stickers and street signage are all available at no cost to interested parties.

You want a safer Dorset then do get in touch and see how we can help you and your area.  Remember that we are always Stronger Together.
