Alert message sent 15/02/2022 21:07:00

Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

Dear Residents,

Here’s a quick round up from me and the rest of the Tipton neighbourhood policing team.

What’s been happening

PCSO’s visited Jubilee Primary School to deliver presentation workshops.
Over the last couple of weeks PCSO’s have delivered presentation workshops to all classes in all year groups on subjects including, Anti-Social Behaviour, Road Safety, Car Safety, Stranger Danger, On-line Safety, Bullying, & other Safeguarding subjects. We want to give a big thankyou to both pupils & staff who were so welcoming & helpful during our visits.

PCSO’s visited Summerhill Primary Academy to deliver presentation workshops.
This week PCSO’s have delivered presentation workshops to all Year 6 classes on subjects including Stranger Danger, On-line Safety, On-line Bullying, & On-line Sexting. We look forward to delivering more presentation workshops on other subjects to more year groups in the near future.

Youths causing ASB.
We are aware of a group of youths who over the last few weeks have been causing anti-social behaviour in & around Tipton, by throwing stones at vehicles & buses, lighting fires particularly around the Covid Vaccination site at Jubilee Park, & throwing egg’s at resident’s houses. Through the use of CCTV we have identified one individual & are now liaising with local schools to identify the other individuals. We are confident the offenders will be appropriately dealt with in the very near future.

Vehicles Recovered.
2 motorcycles stolen from the Great Bridge area were found & recovered from Great Bridge, & a car was recovered where the driver was found in possession of an axe.

A knife recovered.
A knife was recovered from the “railer” behind ASDA, during a standard patrol.

Support for residents in need.
We continue to work with local agencies to support a couple of Tipton residents, who in recent months have been particularly demanding due to their mental health.

A big thanks to,
To the local schools of Tipton who have used their IT systems to reach out to parents in Tipton on our behalf, encouraging them to sign up to WMNow by providing an easy to access link.
