Garage burglary - Meadowbank Road - Hull

A burglary has been reported in your neighbourhood


Dear Resident,
Humberside Police are wanting to make residents aware of a garage burglary on Meadowbank Road, Hull.
The offence occurred between 18:30 hours 29/01/22 and 18:50 hours 29/01/22.

Unknown suspect(s) force the door of victim’s garage and gain entry.  Suspect(s) move things around in the garage and lift a cover to find a quad bike. Suspect(s) make off with the quad bike.
Humberside Police would like to remind residents to ensure windows and doors are locked at all times and alarms are set where possible. Private CCTV and signage is also a good deterrent.
If you have witnessed this incident or have any private CCTV that may have captured the incident please call 101 and quote investigation number 16/19337/22.
We also advise residents not to leave high value items on display as they may entice thieves.
To assist us in identifying stolen property please consider property marking high value items using Smartwater or UV pens.  You are also advised to register property at www.immobilise.com which is a free on-line property register used by police forces nationwide to reunite stolen goods to their owners. All you have to do is register on-line and then upload properties electrical items serial numbers.
Crime Prevention Advice –
1.            Keep the shed/garage secure at all times
2.            Fill in or fit bars over any windows & prevent a view inside
3.            Ensure all doors are secure with quality lock
4.            Ensure hinges are coach bolted and cannot be removed
5.            Fit a standalone alarm or connect it to the house system
