Hello!

As a new member during December 2021 I am writing to give you a warm welcome to the Lincolnshire Alert system and messages from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner.

If you haven’t already, you can let us know your areas of interest – this helps us include you in messaging related to specific groups (e.g. those with vehicle dash cams).

To do this simply:
  • log on to Lincolnshire Alert
  • select Edit Your Details
  • select Community Interests

What can I expect from Lincolnshire Alert?

By signing up to Lincolnshire Alert you can expect messages from your local Safer Together Team Coordinator on;
  • Crime Prevention Initiatives
  • Community Safety Information
  • Local engagement events
  • Consultation opportunities
  • Provide information on local activities and groups
  • Up to date information on the work of the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner and the Safer Together Team
You will also be invited to provide feedback on the messages you receive which will shape our future use of Lincolnshire Alert.

Who is the Police and Crime Commissioner?

The current Police and Crime Commissioner is Marc Jones.

The role of the Police and Crime Commissioner is to be the voice of the people and hold the police to account. They are responsible for the totality of policing.

The Police and Crime Commissioners aim is to cut crime and deliver an effective and efficient police service in Lincolnshire.  They have been elected by the public to hold Chief Constables and the force to account, making the police answerable to the communities they serve.


What is the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner?

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner are a variety of roles that support the Police and Crime Commissioner in holding the Chief Constable to account.


What is the Safer Together Team?

The Safer Together Team work within the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, engaging communities and partners to ensure their voices are heard. In addition they provide communities with information about local initiatives and work in partnership with groups to achieve positive outcomes for local communities.

You will receive regular updates on Lincolnshire Alert from your local Safer Together Team Coordinator and be invited to provide feedback on the messages you receive.
