Always lock all doors and windows and do not leave keys in locks next to glass which when smashed allows access to the keys. If you have an alarm please set it when you leave the house. Consider movement security lights and CCTV to cover vulnerable areas such rear patio windows, flat roofs and garden sheds.

Always lock your vehicle when you leave it and take that extra second to make sure that it is actually secured. Do not leave valuable property on view, particularly Christmas presents, in unattended vehicles.
