Residential Burglary and other Crime Report 04 Dec 2021

Dear Surrey Heath members.
Please find below details of the currently reported burglaries (or attempted burglaries) to residential properties (including shed break-ins) as well as other crime statistics over the last period (22 Nov – 04 Dec 2021). Summary details of these are provided in the list below.
Please note, where known I have used the approximate actual incident date/times rather than date the incident was reported (as there can be differences).
26 Nov (23:30) - 27 Nov (00:30). Barnsley Close. Unknown number of suspects gained entry to a shed located in the rear garden and stole a petrol pressure washer.
27 Nov (13:00 – 16:45). Cedar Close. Offenders have entered the address by breaking the rear patio double door window and have then gone to the master bedroom and searched jewellery boxes taking 3 rings and a bracelet. They are then seen garden hopping through gardens to Waverley Road and into a car. Suspects were 3 males wearing masks or balaclava's and also appear to be wearing gloves.
27 Nov (08:45 - 22:10). Cedar Close. Offenders forced rear sliding patio door but no signs they entered the property and nothing missing.
25 Nov (06:00 – 07:00). Matthews Road. Person(s) have forced entry into an empty MOD house with an implement. They have then removed a carbon monoxide monitor before leaving the address and leaving the monitor in the rear garden.
27 Nov (14:00 – 19:10). Green Hill Road. Unknown number of people have smashed the back door of residential property and gone through the house taking only an old camera and aftershave.
17 Nov(10:08) - 25 Nov (19:20). Wimbledon Road. Report of 2 rings and a pink watch have been taken from inside home address.
30 Nov (09:30 – 16:30). Bristow Road. Unknown person has tried to gain access to property and has caused damage to door handle.
01 Dec (13:10). Stonehouse Rise. After a report from member of the public a PCSO has attended the location and discovered male inside previously secure premises and a crowbar located within the property. Officer assistance arrived and male was arrested.
01 Dec (08:30 – 11:15). Sturdee Close. Forced entry to property by removing lock and gaining entry. At this time nothing apparently taken.
30 Nov (17:00) - 01 Dec (15:45). Birchwood Drive. Theft of black road bicycle from garage.

Burglary Business & Community;
23 Nov (18:00 - 23:30). Woodland Lane. Suspects have accessed site, forced workshop doors and barn doors stealing a motorbike, quad-bikes and various tools (Windlesham).
Caesars Camp Road. Reports of local youths causing damage to house, hall/church (Camberley).
26 Nov (06:45). Newfoundland Road. Suspect has tried locks & gate locks and chains at location. Has also tried the officer door and vehicle door handles at car park (Deepcut).
23 Nov (16:00-1800). Wychelm Road. Secure van parked in a residential car park broken into and tools stolen. Entry gained via smashing passenger side window and prying the side door open (Lightwater).
25 Nov (01:20). Picton Close. Theft from motor vehicle - purse stolen and attempts made to use bank card - which bank are dealing with (Camberley).
27 Nov (20:00) - 28 Nov (12:00). Red Lion Road. Vehicle has been taken without consent and suspect has crashed vehicle (Chobham).
30 Nov (07:30 – 16:00). Frimley Park Hospital staff car park. Theft of cat converter from 11-plate Toyota Auris hybrid (Frimley).
25 Nov (13:40 – 13:45). Birchwood Drive. Theft of wheel trims from parked transit panel van by thieves who pulled up in Transit pickup, got out and cut cable ties holding trims on and made off with them (Lightwater)
02 Dec (07:00 – 09:30). Greenhill Road. Car was broken into and wallet stollen. The person who have stolen the cards made transactions at local businesses although cards cancelled quickly. Both retailers have confirmed to victim they have CCTV of the card user (Camberley).
Criminal Damage; 03 Dec (15:00). Waitrose. Female victim was parked in car park when a male approached her to indicate that there was damage to her car (that it had been keyed on the rear). Lady did not get out of the car and drove off as she had experienced this distraction type burglary from a car two weeks ago, exactly same method of operation. As she drove off suspect then keyed her car as she left. Suspect described as male//late 20s//white// Eastern European accent//5ft10//average build // no facial hair//short dark hair/ wearing jeans & dark jacket.
Drugs; Male passenger in van has been found in possession of herbal cannabis (Camberley). Male has been found with a small quantity of cannabis on him following a stop & search (Coleford Bridge Rd - Mytchett). Suspect found in possession of cannabis (Sandringham Way - Frimley). Whilst arrested for an unrelated matter, a small quantity of cannabis resin was located in male’s possession (Chobham).
Drunk/Drug In Charge; Vehicle has collided with a wall on Park Road. Upon police attendance driver has admitted to having a few beers prior to the collision. Breath test conducted and it was positive for 67 at the roadside. At custody driver has blown 70 and 78 (Camberley). Male driver blew 41 at the roadside (Camberley). Male drove a motor vehicle on a public road whilst over the prescribed limit. Stopped and 52 blown at roadside (Camberley). Male stopped in vehicle and blew 39 at the roadside and was arrested and taken to custody. The later evidential sample provided was under the legal limit and so suspect was released (Frimley). Male has been stopped as a driver of a motor vehicle and has provided a positive drug wipe for cannabis (Mytchett).
Fraud Being Investigated; Someone has used victim’s card to pay for their own bill in a restaurant and have also made another attempt to use the card at a different location (Camberley). 2 customers paid for 3 coats totalling £85 at the store till, using distraction tactics they then took £55 back off the till operator and pocketed it. They then refunded the original purchase so stole £110 in total (Camberley)
Fraud Referred To Action Fraud; Victim has received a call from a male claiming to be from BT. She was expecting a call from BT so has allowed them to access her computer remotely. They have then viewed her Amazon account and also her bank details. Credit card and bank card have been suspended and there appears to be no financial loss at this time (Camberley). Victim has received WhatsApp message from a number telling her that it is her son and his telephone is broken and he needs to borrow some money to pay for a new one (Bagshot).
Fraud Vulnerable Victim; Victim thought to be target of deliberate scam by someone posing as embassy staff to obtain personal details inc. bank details (Bisley). Carer has taken out loans and credit cards in the name of a vulnerable adult (Camberley). Concerns reported that vulnerable adult has been overcharged for roofing work (poorly) done (Bagshot). A call from someone claiming to be Microsoft has obtained the bank details from the victim but the accounts have been frozen stopping any financial loss (Lightwater).
Prescribed Limit Offence; Vehicle observed by police colliding with kerb and swerving between lanes. Suspect provided positive breath test blowing 62 (Bagshot). 1 vehicle RTC, driver positive for cannabis (Chobham). Police received call from off-duty officer who was following a vehicle that he believed was clearly intoxicated and witnessed the vehicle mount the curb. Vehicle pulled over and officer detained the male and awaited for on-duty police arrival. Driver refused to provide roadside sample and was arrested for failure to provide. In custody further refused to provide the two required samples of breath. The driver will be charged with Failure to Provide (Frimley).
23 Nov (19:00) - 24 Nov (06:20 ). Firland Avenue. Report of theft from owner’s Tesla Ieft parked on the front driveway with two other vehicles. Suspect has gained entry to vehicle causing no damage and has been searched. Sliding arm rest has been broken off and stolen (Camberley).
19 Nov (19:00) - 24 Nov (10:00). Dukes Covert. Theft of garden furniture from front garden of residential property (Bagshot).
23 Nov (22:30) - 24 Nov (07:00). Moorlands Rd. Unlocked car on gravel drive was opened by the drivers door and was gone through with items thrown everywhere and door left open. Small amount of cash and a pair of earrings taken (Camberley).
25 Nov (22:00 - 23:50). Pine Ridge Golf Club. Front and rear number plates have been stolen from grey Toyota Avensis (Camberley).
27 Nov (08:50). High View Road. Theft of copper piping and cylinders from victim’s garden. Grey Ford Transit van seen reversing down and then driving out of driveway (Lightwater).
27 Nov (16:40 - 17:45). Park Street. Theft of push bike which was left outside Pure Gym attached to bike rack with combination lock. Owner has returned to find bike and lock gone. Bike was a back & yellow Scott bike worth approx £500 (Camberley).
27 Nov (05:26) Albany Park. Suspect(s) have gone to location and loaded wooden pallets valued at £2000 onto a vehicle and have then left scene (Camberley).
28 Nov (09:15 – 09:30. London Road. Victim arrived to work at approximately 09:35 and found a van parked suspiciously by the gate. The vehicle left immediately upon seeing the victim who then inspected the rear of the property and found that some tyres had been taken (Bagshot).
01 Dec (17:00) - 02 Dec (11:00). Hillsborough Park. Suspect has used unknown means to gain entry to the victim's motor vehicle whilst on driveway and proceeded to steal multiple items (Camberley).
Theft – Of Catalytic Converter;
27 Nov (17:00) - 28 Nov (15:30). Green Lane. Toyota Auris parked on house driveway overnight has had cat converter stolen. CCTV showed suspects were wearing masks and there seemed to be something reflective painted on their vehicle so no registration number could be made out (Bagshot).
03 Dec (00:00 - 07:45). Cobbetts Walk. 04-plate Toyota Celica was parked up outside owners property. Car started in the morning and sounded terrible and owner looked underneath to discover cat converter missing and spring/bolts left under the vehicle where it been taken (Bisley).
