Alert message sent 20/11/2021 14:14:00

Information sent on behalf of Lancashire Constabulary

We're appealing for your help and information after reports of anti-social behaviour in Bolton-Le-Sands on Tuesday the 9th November 2021.

At around 7:15pm someone has removed a number of sheets of toughened glass from a local business on Main Road, Bolton-Le-Sands near the canal bridge. The offenders have taken the glass to the canal bridge"" where one has either been thrown or fallen over the side onto the canal footpath.

This is not only a theft and criminal damage, but is a huge risk to pedestrians who may have been walking along the canal footpath at that time. This toughened glass was around 12mm thick and has caused a large indentation in the footpath where it shattered.

This incident could have been very serious so please check your dash cams if you were parked or drove along MAIN ROAD at this time. Please also reply to this message if you witnessed anything or have any information to provide.

We're determined to do everything we can to tackle nuisance behaviour but we can't do it without your help. If you're having problems or see anything we'd urge you to call 101 or remember you can also make reports to us online here https://doitonline.lancashire.police.uk/IncidentReports/Create
