Residential Burglary and other Crime Report 16 Nov 2021

Dear Surrey Heath members.

Please find below details of the currently reported burglaries (or attempted burglaries) to residential properties (including shed break-ins) as well as other crime statistics over the last period (07 - 16 Nov 2021).

Summary details of these are provided in the list below.

Please note, where known I have used the approximate actual incident date/times rather than date the incident was reported (as there can be differences).

  • 10 Nov (17:00 - 18:40). The Fairway.  Burglary in progress reported where back door windows were smashed and wallet and jewellery were stolen from the house.
  • 10 Nov (13:00 - 18:00). Green Hill Close. Entry gained via forced rear kitchen window, tool marks on window frame. Untidy search of main bedroom with jewellery taken. Exit via rear sliding patio door. Footsteps in dew seen leading away from the house towards rear fence which leads on to The Maultway.

  • 09 Nov (01:00 – 01:11). Perry Way. Person(s) have entered the property and taken the vehicle keys for a BMW 340I XDRIVE in black and stolen it from the drive way. Whilst there they have also taken the keys to a BMW 118I in red however this vehicle was left at the address. The barrel to the conservatory was damaged and removed during this incident.

  • 10 Nov (20:29) Lynwood Drive. Unknown persons have entered the property by breaking a rear window lock and have conducted an untidy search taking various jewellery, cash and an Apple iPod.

Burglary Business & Community;   
  • 14 Nov (16:00) - 15 Nov (17:00) gate to compound at Windlemere SANG forced and SHBC outbuilding shutter door also forced. Vehicle tracks indicate entrance to SANG via adjacent building site (Windlesham).

Crime Vehicle;   
  • 08 Nov (18:00) - 09 Nov (06:30). Suspect has used a tool to drill into the lock of the victim's van side door parked in Premier Inn car park and stolen numerous tools and items totalling over £8,000 (Bagshot).
  • 08 Nov (16:30) - 09 Nov (07:00). Victim reported theft from white Ford Transit whilst parked at Premier Inn. Suspect(s) have put a hole in the side door and have prided door open and stolen all power tools (Bagshot).
  • 10 Nov (08:45) Alphington Ave. Whilst in stationary traffic outside Lakeside primary school, female victim was verbally attacked and car was kicked resulting in damage to wing mirror. This was during school drop off period by a male with 2 small children in his care (Frimley).
  • 06 Nov (12:00) - 11 Nov (15:00) Scarlet Oaks. Catalytic Converter has been stolen from an 03 plate Honda Jazz whilst it has been parked on a drive (Camberley).
  • 14 Nov (07:30) Coleford Bridge Road. Male seen on CCTV going into vehicle (Mytchett).
  • 14 Nov (07:10 - 07:15) Coleford Bridge Road. Male has been seen trying car doors and looking inside vehicles (Mytchett).

Drugs; Vehicle located in the garage block and driver arrested for a court warrant, further searches located what is believed to be class A, class B, cash and a kitchen knife.  Driver arrested for these  and a number of traffic offences (Bagshot), whilst searching a male believed to have run from a suspected cannabis factory and following a subsequent search, a small bag of green herbal substance has been found in a wrap upon his person (Camberley), 17 year old found in possession of cannabis (Camberley).

Fraud Vulnerable Victim; Romance fraud - victim has paid £5,700 into a foreign bank account to someone he has met on a dating site (Frimley).

Prescribed Limit Offence; Male arrested for drug drive - cannabis (Camberley).

Theft (inc);
  • 10 Nov (20:40) One Oak Toby Carvery Car Park  - tools have been taken from Vauxhall van and damage caused to the doors in the process. Suspect seen driving off in silver car and some stolen tools fell out and were recovered (Frimley).

Theft – Of Catalytic Converter;
  • 06 Nov (20:00) - 08 Nov (07:00) Horseshoe Crescent. Inft reporting theft of cat converter from Toyota Auris whilst parked in residential parking bay (Camberley).
