Man charged with threatening two men with a knife

A man has been charged following a public order incident in East Cowes.

Dominic Dunford is alleged to have threatened a man whilst holding a knife at Waverley Holiday Park on the evening of 5 September this year.

The 22-year-old, of Old Road in East Cowes, is also alleged to have threatened a second man near Sylvan Avenue a short while later.

Today (12 November), Dunford was charged with threatening a person with a knife in a public place, and using threatening words or behaviour with intent to provoke fear of violence.

He has been bailed with conditions to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on 14 December.
