HALLOWEEN-BONFIRE NIGHTS

Alert message sent 29/10/2021 15:33:00

Information sent on behalf of Lancashire Constabulary

We know the last 12 months have been difficult with Covid, but we would ask people to be mindful of who they visit on Halloween, those who may be vulnerable and wish to avoid trick or treaters. We don’t want to spoil your fun, but please enjoy Halloween responsibly.
•We are working closely with partners to ensure Halloween and the lead up to Bonfire Night are events which can be enjoyed safely by all members of the community.
•We want to provide reassurance that there will be an increased police presence around the weekend of Halloween. We are committed to keeping our communities safe.
•It is vitally important that individuals within the community have the confidence to come forward and help us to keep them safe by reporting any concerns or information to us.
•We’d like to appeal to parents – do they know where their children are? With the message to stay safe and enjoy Halloween responsibly. The consequences of antisocial behaviour and criminality can have a lasting impact on a young person’s life and on those affected by their actions.
•Demand on emergency services rises significantly during the Halloween and Bonfire period. To help us keep our lines free for those who need us most, please ensure you’re contacting the most relevant agency and using the most appropriate means of contact.
