Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Dear Residents

Welcome to our priority update for September 2021. It has been a great month for community engagement with village events taking place which has been fantastic to see given the last couple of years. We briefly called in at the Vintage Steam Rally at Stapleford Park, the opening of the archaeological site in Croxton Kerrial and a village event at St Guthlac’s Church in Stathern. We attended Harby Primary School and delivered an introduction to Road Safety and Stranger Danger to the Reception Class, they really enjoyed hearing the sirens from the police car.

Our Priorities are:

Priority 3 Vehicle Crime

There were 3 vehicle crimes recorded in September as mentioned above. October has seen the theft of number plates from 2 vehicles in Scalford on 05/10. An early alert was sent out via this service. One of the thefts was reported as being from the village hall carpark. This was not the correct information, one theft occurred in the public carpark on South Street which I believe used to be where the old village hall was sited. The second Theft was also on South Street close to the junction with Church Street. A front plate stolen was FM66 PVX, the rear was removed but was broken. The second plate stolen was front only ET18 XJF.
