Officers investigating a dwelling burglary in Blandford are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Entry was gained to the property in Elizabeth Road some time between around 8.40am and 9.30am on Wednesday 22 September 2021.

The victim, a woman aged in her 20s, returned home to find the front door had been locked from the inside and her dog was barking. The offender is believed to have left through the rear door and over the garden fence.

Police Constable James Prowse, of North Dorset police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this burglary and I would appeal for anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident to please come forward.

“I would like to take this opportunity to remind residents to make sure they keep their homes secure at all times when they are out. For more crime prevention advice visit https://www.dorset.police.uk/help-advice-crime-prevention/home-property/protect-your-home/."
