Alert message sent 09/09/2021 15:45:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch Scotland

The following information is being circulated on behalf of SGN

I’m writing to you to make you aware of our upcoming work to install a new gas connection to the Brewdog Biomass Plant at Ellon in Aberdeenshire. In order to facilitate this new connection we will be installing 600m of 180mm Medium Pressure pipe to a new biomass plant.

Work began on Monday, 6 September for approximately 14 weeks but in order to minimise disruption we will be working in phases as follows:

Phase 1:  6 – 20 Sept – we will be working on the A948 Ellon Northern Peripheral Road from A90 Auchmacoy Roundabout to the junction with Golf Road, Ellon. During this phase we will be using three-way temporary traffic lights.

Phases 2 & 4: 20 Sept to 15 Nov - during these phases we will be working within the industrial estate and will not require traffic management.

Phase 3: 4 – 11 Oct – we will be working on the A920 Castle Road using three-way temporary traffic lights.

Phase 5: 18 Oct – 10 Nov – we will be working on the A920 Castle Road using three-way temporary traffic lights.

We are conscious this is a busy area and will do everything we can to progress our work as quickly as possible and to limit delays and disruption including manning the temporary lights at busy periods. Access will also be maintained for emergency vehicles.

We’re working closely with Scottish Government to make sure we carry out our projects in line with all current coronavirus safety guidance.

We have extra safety precautions in place to protect our colleagues and our communities from the virus. Our colleagues will be keeping to social distancing guidelines on our sites and we’d ask communities to keep their distance too. There’s more information about our coronavirus response on our website: sgn.co.uk/coronavirus

We’re writing to residents and other local stakeholders to make them aware of our project and explain the details of our work. Please feel free to also share this information with anyone you think may be impacted by our project.

Thank you in advance for your support.
