VEHICLE SECURITY

Alert message sent 09/09/2021 12:09:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch Scotland

Police Scotland are again advising members of the public to consider their vehicle security after reports of recent thefts within the Angus area.

A number of reports were received by Police regarding suspicious activity and several vehicles were recently targeted within the Forfar area. Unfortunately many of the vehicles in question were insecure.

To reduce the opportunity of being a victim of vehicle crime consider the following;

Don’t leave anything on display and always remove valuables from your car.

Always lock all doors and ensure all windows are closed.

For further advice and information contact your local community policing team or visit our website at Police Scotland for further advice at https://www.scotland.police.uk/advice-and-information/

If you have any information regarding these incidents or anything you think may be useful to the Police telephone 101 or in an emergency 999. You can provide anonymous information to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
