Last weeks updates for Runnymede

Alert message sent 07/09/2021 14:18:00

Information sent on behalf of Surrey Police

Some of the local news for Runnymede from last week:

We executed a Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act warrant in Addlestone.  Whilst establishing various offences we seized a small collection of offensive weapons and continue to investigate.
All weapons banned in public by the Criminal Justice Act 1988, including zombie knives, shuriken or death stars and knuckledusters, are now banned in private, meaning people can no longer keep them at home.

Anti-social behaviour checks of Egham Town amongst other local sporting venues.
Checks of the Egham Orbit car park and M25 underpass for anti-social behaviour.
We had been asked to disrupt anti-social gatherings at local car parks by residents affected by the disturbances. We were at Waspe Farm in Egham to deal with the issues.

The way a car was being driven in Addlestone made us think the driver was drunk – it was just very bad driving! The vehicle was seized as it was uninsured.

We took a thirteen year old home to his parents after finding him out after dark on his own on the A320 Chertsey.
