ASB use of mopeds on St Clements Way in New Waltham

Alert message sent 29/07/2021 11:35:00

Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

Anti-social behaviour has been reported in your neighbourhood

Dear Resident,

At about 17:05 hours on Tuesday 27th July 2021 there were two mopeds who were riding on St CLEMENTS WAY in NEW WALTHAM in an anti-social manner, by wheeling the moped on the Road and at there was a report where a driver had to take some evasive action as they were riding on the wrong side of the Road.

This incident has received media attention and although I have commented on a few posts on Facebook, I was alarmed by some of the comments that were received. Any sort of anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and that includes riding a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road in an anti-social manner.

The first moped was described as white and black in colour and the rider was wearing a grey top and bottoms and had a dark coloured helmet.

The second moped was described as yellow and black in colour with yellow rims and the rider was dressed all in dark blue clothing with a black helmet.

How can you help?

1. Do you reside on St Clements Way in New Waltham? If so did you see them?
2. Do you have CCTV/Dash cam of the mopeds and riders which would hopefully record their vehicle registration number plate?

If the answer is 'Yes' to any of the above, please reply back to this alert or contact 101 and quote Log number 221 of 28/07/2021?

Thank you for your assistance.

Kind Regards

Cleethorpes Policing Team
