Burglary update

Dear Residents,
Welcome to the Burglary Update for the last two weeks.

The message covers the burglaries reported between the 15th July 2021  and 28th July 2021
  • 05/07/2021 10:30.   Outwood Lane, Chipstead. Residential Garage Burglary.  Method of Entry – Access was gained to the garage in an attempt to take two secured bicycles. Stolen: Nothing taken.
  • 18/07/2021 Between 20:00 to 20:25.  Heather Close, Tadworth. Residential Burglary.  Method of entry- Method of accessing the house is not confirmed.  Access to the Summer House was a forced entry by breaking a window. Stolen: Nothing was taken from the House. Internal and external speakers and a sanding machine were stolen from the Summer House.
  • 23/07/2021 17:30   Garlichill Road, Epsom Residential Burglary.  Method of entry- It has not been confirmed how the property has been accessed. Stolen: Cash, Jewellery, Gold Cuff Link, Medal and Coin.
  • 08/07/2021 between 00:10 to 07:00. Springcopse Road, Reigate. Attempted Residential Burglary.  Method of Entry-   Attempted forced entry through the front door. Stolen:  Nothing taken.
  • 18/07/2021 between 19:30 to 23:00. Worsted Green, Merstham. Attempted Residential Burglary. Method of Entry – Attempted forced entry by breaking a window in the backdoor. Stolen:  Nothing taken.
  • 20/07/2021 01:30. Common Road, Redhill. Residential Burglary.  Method of Entry – It is not confirmed how access was gained to the property. Stolen: Watch.
  • 20/07/2021 between 00:00 to 01:00.  Park Lane, Reigate. Residential Outbuilding Burglary. Method of Entry – Access has been gained to the Greenhouse and the boiler cupboard. Stolen: Nothing taken.
  • 22/07/2021 06:30.  Beech Road, Reigate. Attempted Residential Burglary.   Method of Entry- The suspect has attempted to access the property at a number of points. After being challenged by the occupant the suspect has left the property. Stolen: A charger ‘plug end’ is missing from one of the outbuildings.
  • 22/07/2021 between 10:00 to 12:00.  Friths Drive, Reigate. Residential Burglary.   Method of Entry- Access through the front bedroom window. Stolen: Gold Wrist Watch, Mobile Telephone, Key Wallet.
  • 27/07/2021 between 01:00 to 06:30.  Park Lane East, Reigate. Residential Garage Burglary.  Method of Entry- Forced entry through the garage door. Stolen:   Circular Saw, Bench Saw, Alcohol, Handbag and other Bags.

Summer Weather

 As we move into August we may experience warmer summer  weather so please remember to be vigilant, especially when opening windows and doors:
  • Ensure all doors and windows are locked when you leave the house.
  • Please be mindful when leaving windows and doors open in areas of your property which are not being used, especially if you are outside.
  • With the warm nights consider your security when opening windows, especially the larger windows and those on the ground floor.
  • Don’t leave phones, keys, valuables in the view of windows or within the reaches of cat flaps or letterboxes.
