Appeal for witnesses following disorder at play park

Alert message sent 15/06/2021 12:28:00

Information sent on behalf of Gloucestershire Constabulary

Officers are appealing for witnesses to an incident in a park in Churchdown at the end of last month.

Police were called to the play park off Shamrock Close at 3pm on Sunday 30 May following reports of a disorder involving a group of teenagers.
It was reported that a teenage boy had shouted abuse at a teenage girl before spitting at her during the disorder.
When officers attended there were a number of people in the park who left before they could be spoken to and it's believed that they may have witnessed what happened or have mobile phone footage.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the incident and has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue with officers now asking witnesses to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to submit this to police online by completing the update a crime report form and quoting incident 308 of 30 May: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/
Alternatively you can call 101 quoting the same details.
