Friends Against Scams

Alert message sent 20/05/2021 18:34:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

This is a message from Val McPherson Vice Chair of Princes Risborough and District NW Association.

As you will know, despicable scammers continue to try to deceive us and their activities both grow and diversify.

Because greater awareness of these problems is our best form of defence, you might like to visit the Friends Against Scams website and watch their training video which runs for about 8 minutes.  It covers a wide range of scams.
Their website is at: www.friendsagainstscams.org.uk

The introductory video is on the home page or you can click on ‘Start here’ just below ‘Together We Can Take A Stand Against Scams’ and scroll down to the bottom of the page to complete the full interactive session which lasts for about 20 minutes.

You will then become a Friend Against Scams.
Friends Against Scams is part of National Trading Standards.

You might also find it worth visiting the rest of their website for further advice.  It includes how to become a SCAMchampion and how to become a Scam Marshall.  You may find these roles worth considering.
