Covid Scam

Alert message sent 09/02/2021 13:50:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

This is a Neighbourhood Watch message from Chrissie Parkes
An incident has been reported of an e-mail scam in the forest. The victim received an e-mail purporting to be from NHS.gov and inviting them for a covid 19 vaccination. When they pressed the (accept appointment) button it went through to the next page which asked for payment. This page appeared to display their bank details.
The victim went no further and no money was taken. It is very important that everyone understands that the vaccinations are free on the NHS and you will NEVER be asked for payment.

Please be aware and if you have any information about this incident please report it to the police on 101.

Alternatively, you can pass the information by completing this form:

You can also ring Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
