Residential Burglary and other Crime Report 25th January 2021

Dear Surrey Heath members.

Please find below details of the currently reported burglaries (or attempted burglaries) to residential properties (including shed break-ins) as well as other crime statistics over the last period (17-25 Jan 2021). Summary details of these are provided in the list below.
Please note, where known I have used the approximate actual incident date/times rather than date the incident was reported (as there can be differences).

Camberley
  • 19 Jan 2021 (18:40). Birch Close. An unknown suspect entered a residential property through the front door with unknown motive, before being disturbed by the occupant and making off. Suspect was disturbed only a few feet inside the door and left immediately the same way. Suspect seen briefly and described as a white male wearing a dark puffa jacket, hooded and dark bottoms.  Unknown if wearing gloves. He was also wearing a surgical light blue face mask.
 
  • 22 Jan 2021 (10:30-14:00). Gordon Road. Suspect(s) gained entry into a garage via the roof but intruder(s) appear to have fallen through the roof leaving blood marks. No property taken.

Mytchett
  • 23 Jan 2021. Grayswood Drive. Unknown offenders have approached the rear of the property by unlocking accessible bolt on side gate and then tried to force rear UPVC door. Having been unsuccessful have then smashed glass to gain entry. Tidy search of a bedroom.

Attempted Suicide (1), Burglary Business & Community (1*), Burglary Residential (3), Child Protection Incident (5), Community Protection Notice (1), Community Protection Warning (1), Coronavirus (15), Crime Other (8), Crime Public Order (1), Crime Vehicle (5**), Criminal Damage (3***), Domestic Incident (15),  Drug/Solvent Abuse (1), Drug Seizure (2****), Drugs (7****), Drunk/Drug In Charge (2), DVPN (1), Family File (2), Fraud Being Investigated (2*****), Fraud Vulnerable Victim (1*****), Hate/Diversity Incident (2), High Risk Vulnerable Adult Incident (1), International Enquiries (1), Lost/Found/Prop/Person (1), Missing Person – High Risk (1), Missing Person – Medium Risk (1), Premises Search Warrant (1), Problem Solving (1), Public Order (4), Road Related Offence (1**), Sexual Offence (1), Stalking Harassment (3), Sudden Death Non Suspicious (8), Theft (8**), Untimely Death (2), Violent Crime Other (2), Violent Crime Public Place (3), Violent Domestic (4), Vulnerable Adult Incident (8), Wildlife (1******).


Notes:

*Entry gained into MOD building by forcing padlock on the front door and whilst inside have thrown paint around and smashed windows. (Deepcut).

**Inc; Theft of white Ford Fiesta ST  - keys not taken – possible entry by smashing side window (Frimley), theft of silver VX Meriva (Camberley), male stopped on uninsured moped, reported for driving whilst disqualified and without third party insurance (Frimley), vehicle stolen within the past week prior to reporting (Frimley), male seen trying door handles of vehicles in road - suspect described as white, approx 20s, tall, slender build, wearing a beany hat and navy quilted jacket (Mytchett), male stopped by police as driver of a motor vehicle, checks revealed he was a disqualified driver (Lightwater), theft of 1983 Ford Capri from parking bay behind property (Frimley).

***Front gates to victim’s property have been forced open breaking the bike chain and combination lock securing the gates (Camberley), male has kicked bottom of glazed sliding door causing the glass to crack (Camberley), damage caused at golf course whereby a NHS sign has been pulled down outside the front gates and damage has been caused to course barriers (Frimley).

****Inc; Male stopped as driver of vehicle and following a search cannabis in excess of 10 kg located in vehicle (Camberley), possession of drugs - located in hotel room (Camberley), male arrested for PWITS Class A after found in possession of a quantity of suspected cocaine, cash and two mobile phones (Bagshot), suspect found in possession of a small amount of herbal cannabis (LIghtwater), male found in possession of Class A drug (Lightwater), suspect found in possession of brown/white coloured crystal substance - possibly Class A drug (West End), suspect stopped in vehicle as passenger - found in possession of cannabis (Camberley), suspect found in possession of small amount of cannabis - CR issued (West End).

*****Credit card has gone missing and been used in local petrol station (West End), attempt to cash a fake cheque (Camberley), bank fraud (Camberley).

******Possible restarting of cockfighting at previously known location.
