Residential Burglary and other Crime Report 17 January 2021

Dear Surrey Heath members.

Please find below details of the currently reported burglaries (or attempted burglaries) to residential properties (including shed break-ins) as well as other crime statistics over the last period (08 – 17 Jan 2021). Summary details of these are provided in the list below.
Please note, where known I have used the approximate actual incident date/times rather than date the incident was reported (as there can be differences).

Camberley
  • 13 Jan 21 (09:00-17:30). Wood Road. Residence was entered through an open window and items stolen.
Frimley
  • 12 Jan 21 (01:25). Field Lane. Two suspects observed on CCTV attempting to gain access to property.

To provide a further idea of the activities of the Surrey Heath Police team, there were 131 new incidents/occurrences being looked into during this period. A summary of these is given below along with some accompanying notes later;

ASB Nuisance (1), Burglary Residential (2), Child Protection Incident (6), Coronavirus (20), Crime Other (10), Crime Public Order (2), Crime Vehicle (6*), Criminal Damage (5), Custody Admin (2), Domestic Incident (7), Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme – R2K (2), Drugs (6**), Drunk/Drug In Charge (2***), DVPO Breach (2), Family File (2), Firearm/Ballistic - Seized (1****), Firearms – Non Notifiable Crime (1****), Fraud Being Investigated (1*****), Fraud Referred To Action Fraud (1*****), Fraud Vulnerable Victim (2*****), Master Occurrence (2), Missing Person – High Risk (2), Missing Person – Medium Risk (1), Neighbour Dispute (2), Offensive Weapon (1), Out of Force Enquiries (1), Prescribed Limit Offence (2), Public Order (2), Sexual Offence (1), Stalking Harassment (4), Sudden Death Non Suspicious (3), Theft (8******), Violent Crime Other (4), Violent Crime Public Place (1), Violent Domestic (3), Vulnerable Adult Incident (11).

Notes:
*Rear windscreen to vehicle has been smashed (Bagshot), vehicle has had two tyres punctured deliberately (Deepcut), spoiler stolen during the day from Golf at VW garage (Camberley), theft of 2x yellow Suzuki motocross motorcycles – RM250 & RM450 overnight from rear garden (Frimley), theft of tools from locked van overnight on driveway (Mytchett), theft of both number plates from vehicle parked at home address (West End).

**Suspect being found in possession of herbal cannabis (Camberley), male questioned whilst sat in vehicle, found in possession of cannabis (Camberley), male found in possession of cannabis (Lightwater), male stop searched and found in possession of cannabis (Camberley), possession of cannabis (Lightwater), male found in possession of cannabis - CR issued (Frimley), ongoing issue of individuals smoking cannabis in communal area (Camberley).

***Suspect was stopped driving a vehicle and provided a positive specimen of saliva for cannabis and arrested for suspicion of drug driving (Lightwater), suspect arrested on suspicion of drug driving after failing drug wipe test for cannabis (Frimley).

****Air rifle found on side of road (Bagshot), shotgun cartridges handed in (Camberley).

*****A credit card in victim's name was opened without consent and monies spent (Frimley), ’Amazon Security’ phone scam leading victim to download an App and scammer trying to get victim to access bank accounts (Camberley), elderly female received a phone call from a male pretending to be from the police “Inspector Andrews” asking for bank details (Chobham), couple have paid money to a scam DVLA website for an over 70's driving licence (Frimley).

******Inc; theft from shop (Camberley), theft of metal from drive (Camberley), theft of items from store (Bagshot), male had his phone taken from him after meeting suspects to purchase cannabis - suspects came equipped with bat and knife and chased the victim down the road (Frimley), suspicion of key being taken from external key safe (Bagshot), five persons have walked onto the driveway of an address and by a unknown method have opened the rear passenger side door and removed two boxed DeWalt drills and a jigsaw before being disturbed by the victim when they have driven off in a 4x4 four (Camberley), horses head collars stolen from stables (Bisley),
