Dawg Day Afternoon

Alert message sent 13/01/2021 17:49:00

Information sent on behalf of South Yorkshire Police

Last night a vehicle failed to stop for officers in the Stainforth area and a pursuit ensued. The subject vehicle eventually collided with our police vehicle.

There was no injury to the driver of the police car and only minimal damage to the vehicle, however the subject fled the scene on foot. The vehicle was recovered and found to contain some property (suspected to be stolen) and a friendly dog.

The animal was unharmed and is safe and well and in our care. Enquiries continue to trace the other one that managed to escape on foot, along with the owner of the recovered property.
