Residential Burglary and Other Crime Report 08 January 2021

Dear Surrey Heath members.

Please find below details of the currently reported burglaries (or attempted burglaries) to residential properties (including shed break-ins) as well as other crime statistics over the last period (29 Dec 2020 – 08 Jan 2021). Summary details of these are provided in the list below.
Please note, where known I have used the approximate actual incident date/times rather than date the incident was reported (as there can be differences).

20 Dec 2020 (00:00) - 07 Jan 2021 (00:00). Portesbery Road. Bike stolen from shed.

05 Jan 2021 (00:00-21:04). Elm Drive. Victim returned to find the house had been entered and washing machine had been stolen.

To provide a further idea of the activities of the Surrey Heath Police team, there were 162 new incidents/occurrences being looked into during this period. A summary of these is given below along with some accompanying notes later;

Assault On Police (1*), Burglary Business & Community (2*), Burglary Residential (2), CCE Risk Management (1), Child Protection Incident (6), Concern For Safety (3), Coronavirus (24), Crime Other (8*), Crime Public Order (1), Crime Vehicle (3*), Criminal Damage (7*), Domestic Incident (16),  Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme -R2K (1), Drugs (7*), Drunk/Drug In Charge (4), Fraud Being Investigated (1*), Master Occurrence (5*), Missing Person – High Risk (1), Missing Person – Medium Risk (1), ModSlaveryHumTrafCri (1), Neighbour Dispute (1), Non Validated Crime (2), Not A Crime (1), Out of Force Enquiries (2), Pets/Domestic Animals (2*), Prescribed Limit Offence (3), Prisoner Recall (1), Public Order (1), Road Related Offence (1), Sexual Offence (3), Stalking Harassment (3), Sudden Death Non Suspicious (1), Suspicious Incident (2), Theft (8), Traffic/Parking (1), Violent Crime Other (4), Violent Crime Public Place (1), Violent Domestic (11), Vulnerable Adult Incident (17).

  • Assault on Police: PC was punched to the face during an arrest attempt (Frimley).
  • Burglary Business & Community: Three incidents of burglary/attempted burglary in the last three months not previously reported (Bagshot), 2 males seen entering site - security managed to stop and chase them off (Windlesham).
  • Crime Other: Inc potential attempted burglary - male has been seen on ring doorbell footage trying door handle to address (West End).
  • Crime Vehicle: Inc keys from motorbike stolen (Frimley), vehicle stopped and suspect detained on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle and assault an emergency worker (Camberley), theft of front and rear number plates (Mytchett).
  • Criminal Damage: Inc car parked in communal car park outside work had one of its tyres slashed (Bagshot), report criminal damage to property (Bagshot),
  • Drugs: Inc occupants of stopped vehicles found in possession of cannabis (Bagshot x1, Camberley x3, Frimley x1), cannabis factory located at an address (Mytchett).
  • Fraud Being Investigated: Victim’s bank card has been cloned and used to withdraw money from their account (Camberley)
  • Master Occurrence: Inc three suspects fled back garden causing damage to a fence, abandoned a bag with weapons and tools found (Windlesham), arrest following a search after large quantity of cannabis found in vehicle (Bagshot).
  • Pets/Domestic Animals: Dog ripped victims pocket and put her in fear (Windlesham), victim bitten by dog whilst walking (Lightwater).

As always, the local Neighbourhood Team are keen to receive information on all crime spotted or believed to have occurred as this can assist with ongoing enquiries, as well as helping to build up their wider intelligence picture.
