Neighbourhood Watch Volunteers Invited To Assist In Proactive Burglary Operation In Bagshot and Lightwater Wednesday 9th December

Alert message sent 02/12/2020 13:50:00

Information sent on behalf of Surrey Police

Dear Surrey Heath Neighbourhood Watch members.

Following on from the successful series of proactive anti-burglary operations to date in and around Bagshot and Lightwater, the Surrey Heath Neighbourhood police team are again asking whether Watch members would like to volunteer some of their time during the coming operation on Wednesday 9th December (between around 5pm-Midnight) taking place in and around Bagshot and Lightwater.

The briefing by the operation lead officer is likely to take place in the car park behind the Bagshot Co-Op between 1730-1800 (although any final updates and changes will be sent out to those volunteers who register). The brief will include background information, giving out of maps and letters, things to watch for and importantly the contact number that can be used to call the officers directly that evening if you spot something.

So if you are interested/willing to get involved then please contact Mike Potter (Surrey Heath Neighbourhood Watch Six Villages Area Coordinator) and register that you will be attending, letting him know what times (and as applicable which village/area) you are able to assist with, at MPotter@SurreyHeathNW.co.uk

We ask that people do register in advance so the police team have an idea of numbers in order to print out any briefing packs, maps, letters to be handed out.

If you have supported a previous operation and for example don’t need a map as you are familiar with the locations then please do let Mike know this info as well. Also please provide a mobile phone number that you will be using during the evening (again to allow us to contact you during the operation if required).

As always Covid precautions and rules are to be followed so we ask that people stay in their vehicles in the car park until the police car arrives for the briefing, people all wear masks and remain at least 2m apart from others.

Thankyou in advance for any assistance that you may be able to give.
Kind regards
Rob Freeman
