Neighbourhood Watch Volunteers Invited To Assist In Anti-Burglary Operations In Bagshot and Lightwater Sat 28th Nov

Alert message sent 25/11/2020 11:18:00

Information sent on behalf of Surrey Police

Dear Surrey Heath Neighbourhood Watch members.

Firstly an apology from the local police team that due to work load this request is coming out later than they would have liked and they would be grateful if Watch Coordinators would forward on this message to their members as soon as possible.

Following on from the first two police anti-burglary operations in and around Bagshot, the Surrey Heath Neighbourhood police team are again asking whether Watch members would like to volunteer some of their time during the coming operation on Saturday 28th November (between 5pm-Midnight) taking place in Bagshot and Lightwater.

The Borough Commander has advised the operation leader that the police team would be happy for Watch members to attend and assist as technically this can come under them going for a walk and so guidelines are still being adhered to. However it is fully understood if people are not comfortable with this and would wish to attend future operations only once restrictions have changed.

Given ongoing restrictions the team are currently looking at how best to carry out briefings and pass over maps and other documents and further information will be provided to those interested in due course.

So if you are interested/willing to get involved then please contact Mike Potter (Surrey Heath Neighbourhood Watch Six Villages Area Coordinator) in the first instance, letting him know what times (and as applicable which village/area) you are able to assist with, at MPotter@SurreyHeathNW.co.uk

Thankyou in advance for any assistance that you may be able to give.

Kind Regards

Rob Freeman
