Residential Burglary and other Crime Report 23 November 2020

Dear Surrey Heath members.
Please find below details of the currently reported burglaries (or attempted burglaries) to residential properties (including shed break-ins) as well as other crime statistics over the last period (16 Nov – 23 Nov 2020). Summary details of these are provided in the list below.
Please note, where known I have used the approximate actual incident date/times rather than date the incident was reported (as there can be differences).
17 Nov (17:00–18:35). Hawkswood Avenue. Access gained via side wooden gate then rear UPVC framed door forced. Untidy search carried out in all rooms. Target appears to have been jewellery.
21 Nov (16:44–20:02). Calshot Way. Unknown suspects (potentially three males) have entered property via an unlocked side access gate and gained entry to the house. They have then conducted an untidy search, including the loft and have taken items.
16 Nov (16:45) - 17 Nov (08:15). Gresham Way. Attempt made to access garage through the door. No access obtained and nothing taken.
14 Nov (09:59) – 18 Nov (06:00). Hamesmoor Road. Double French glass door smashed at the back of the property. An untidy search conducted and only a small amount of cash taken. Suspect(s) left property by unlocking a side door that leads onto front driveway.

*Including reports of; possible self-isolating breach (Bagshot), visitors during lockdown (Frimley), mixing of households at a property (Camberley) and mixing of households at a property (West End).
** Inc; left side wing mirror forced and taken from Toyota Rav-4 (Camberley), theft of tools from white VW Transporter whilst it was parked at Longacres garden centre (Bagshot), Yamaha Max 125 motorbike stolen from outside victim's property (Bisley), two male suspects disturbed breaking into a grey Toyota Auris and tmade off in a blue Saab (West End), theft of silver Land Rover Defender - no smashed glass left behind and owner still had both sets of keys (Camberley), window smashed and theft of satnav and stand from parked vehicle whilst owner was walking dog (Mytchett), theft of catalytic converter from Toyota Prius whilst on drive (Bagshot).
*** Inc; vehicle stop with multiple occupants with class B substance seized (Camberley), collection of drugs found by member of the public (Camberley), male found in possession of cannabis - Community Resolution issued (Camberley), vehicle stopped after acting suspiciously and some occupants dealt with for possession of cannabis (Camberley), failed drugs wipe and possession of herbal cannabis after vehicle stop (Mytchett).
****Immediate use of credit card after being stolen (Camberley) and elderly person receiving scam calls from purportedly HMRC (Camberley).
***** Male approached by 3 unknown persons who hit him in the head with a bottle, stole victim’s electric scooter and make off in a dark coloured vehicle towards Frimley Park Hospital (Frimley) and two males in balaclavas have approached young male and taken his electric scooter using a knife as a threat in order to facilitate the removal of the scooter (Frimley).
As always, the local neighbourhood team are keen to receive information on all crime spotted or believed to have occurred as this can assist with ongoing enquiries, as well as helping to build up their wider intelligence picture.
