Alert message sent 03/11/2020 09:29:00

Information sent on behalf of Staffordshire Police

Protect, respect and enjoy safely is the message from Staffordshire Police as we approach bonfire night.
- Protect your health, your loved ones and your communities and help to reduce the spread of Covid-19.
- respect other people who can find this time of year distressing.
- Enjoy the festivities safely by doing things differently this year.
- Always tell your neighbours if you are planning to let off fireworks.
-If you're going to use fireworks, only use genuine ones , follow the manufacturer's instructions and be sensible.
- Always remember the laws around when you can and can't set them off.
- Garden bonfires spread very easily. Keep away from trees, sheds and fences, and never use petrol or other accelerants to get it going.
