Update on Tackling Wildlife Crime

Wednesday 28 October


with the assistance from local Farm Watch members, a vehicle with potential to be used in hare coursing was located near to Welwick Road, Patrington; driver issued with Section 59 warning for driving on land contrary to Section 34 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and along with 3 occupants were Ordered to leave the area of the East Riding of Yorkshire County under Section 35 Anti-social behaviour , Crime & Policing Act 2014 dispersal order for a maximum period of 48hours.

All involved were searched, no evidence of coursing at this stage.

Humberside Police cannot tackle this or any other problem alone and lots of individuals and agencies continue to have an important input in to Operation Galileo, in particular members of Farm Watch groups and residents of our rural communities.
