Weelsby Woods

Alert message sent 17/10/2020 21:13:00

Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

Good evening,
Within our ward area we have one of the most beautiful park within North East Lincolnshire in Weelsby Woods. However this is in danger of being tarnished by a very small minority or are intent on making the area not so nice to all other users. There have been fires started in the Woods with whole trees have been set alight, luckily these haven't taken a good hold and have been very isolated.
There are an ever increasing use of the park by youths who discard their rubbish for all to see.
I as well as the other members of the Community Team patrol and engage with all users of the park however we cannot be there all the time so I am asking you to report anything you see in the Woods by calling 101 (or 999 In an emergency) or alternatively you can reply to this message and I will pick it up.

We need to make this park stronger and safer for all and that will only come with your help the more I know about who, what, when and how the better picture I get of what is going on in the Woods and I can direct our resources where they will have the most impact.
Nick Gibbs
Community Beat manager
Heneage Ward.
