Residential Burglary and Other Crime Report 12 October 2020

Dear Surrey Heath members.

Please find below details of the currently reported burglaries (or attempted burglaries) to residential properties (including shed break-ins) as well as other crime statistics over the last period (05 Oct – 12 Oct 2020). Summary details of these are provided in the list below.

Please note, where known I have used the approximate actual incident date/times rather than date the incident was reported (as there can be differences).

Camberley
  • 10 Oct (18:00-23:15). Paddock Close. Suspects have vaulted the rear fence and entered the property through the lounge French doors that look onto the rear garden. They have prised the window pane which has shattered and then reached in and used the key to gain access. Untidy search and jewellery taken (ignoring any electrical goods).  Dark VW Golf seen outside property with four individuals wearing dark clothing and hooded jumpers. Some stolen goods were later found abandoned in Lightwater.
Frimley
  • 07 Oct (12:21). Chobham Road. Attempted break in at residential address. Unknown person has used a crow bar on the front door in an attempt to gain entry to the property. Member of the public passing challenged the offender who fled the area. Offender described as white male, approx 30s, wearing a blue hat, black mask, blue jacket and jeans.
Frimley Green
  • 10 Oct (19:00) - 11 Oct (03:00). Henley Drive. Owner returned home and found his back glass panel door smashed in and an untidy search has taken place. Access to the rear appears to have been through side gate.
Mytchett
  • 10 Oct (22:00) – 11 Oct (08:00). Cranmore Road. Report of garage broken into overnight (one of a number in same block). Garage door has been forced opened and access has been gained. Padlock clasp believed to have been broken off.
  • 10 Oct (22:00) – 11 Oct (08:00). Cranmore Road. Garage break-in.
  • 10 Oct (22:00) – 11 Oct (08:00). Cranmore Road. Garage break-in.

Burglary Business and Community (1*), Burglary Residential (6), Child Protection Incident (4), Closure Order (2**), Concern For Safety (2), Coronavirus (4***), Crime Other (6), Crime Public Order (3), Crime Vehicle (5****), Criminal Damage (7), Domestic Incident (14 ), Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme R2A (1), Drugs (4*****), Drunk/Drug In Charge (1******), Family File (2), Fire (1), Fraud Being Investigated (2*******), Fraud Vulnerable Victim (3*******), Hate/Diversity Incident (2), Marac (1), Master Occurrence (3), Missing Person – High Risk (2), Missing Person – Low Risk (2), Missing Person – Medium Risk (2), Neighbour Dispute (4), Pets / Domesticated Animals (3), Prescribed Limit Offence (1), Public Order (5), Rape/Serious Sexual Offence (3), Sexual Offence (1), Stalking/Harassment (1), Suspicious Incident (1), Theft (13), Violent Crime Other (2), Violent Crime Public Place (10), Violent Domestic (4), Vulnerable Adult Incident (10).

Notes:
*Suspect has taken cash from till whilst staff member has been trying to serve another customer (Frimley).
**Breach of partial closure order (Bagshot).
***Inc potential breach of quarantine (Bagshot), person advised to quarantine after returning from abroad (Frimley), concern a person not isolating after returning from abroad (Frimley), report of premises not enforcing Covid rules (Bisley).
****Inc ladder and roof rack stolen from van while it was parked on residential road (Lightwater), catalytic converter cut off Honda Jazz in Waitrose staff car park (Bagshot), silver Suzuki Burgman scooter stolen from side of garage (Chobham), theft of front number plate from white Peugeot Bipper van whilst parked on driveway (Frimley).
*****Inc suspects have been seen to make an exchange. One has made off from police found in possession of cash only and other found with no cash and in possession of a crystal substance (Bagshot), drugs warrant executed and suspected class A and class B drugs located inside the flat (Camberley), suspect has been searched under Section 23 Misuse Drugs Act and has been found in possession of a cannabis joint and cannabis 'wax' (West End).
****** Suspect has been involved in an RTC. Has failed roadside breath test and been arrested for driving over prescribed limit (Lightwater).
*******Inc report of suspect has handed over a fake £50.00 note to purchase takeaway (Camberley), elderly person receiving scam calls from different people on different numbers (Frimley), elderly person appears to have been victim of multiple frauds (West End).
