Hate Crime Awareness Week

Alert message sent 09/10/2020 16:07:00

Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

Dear Residents of Bilston
Next week from 12th to the 18th of October is Hate crime awareness week. For those of you who are unaware what a Hate Crime is, the official description is:
‘a criminal offence committed against a person or property, that is motivated by hostility towards someone due to either their race, religion, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity. Whether part of a group or singled out.’

On the 17th October in Bilston Town Centre, members of the Bilston Neighbourhood team will have a pop up stall with information in regards to hate crime and hate crime related groups. So if you, a loved one, a friend, co-worker or even your neighbours have been affected by hate crime, please come and visit us between 10:00am till 13:00pm. Where we can share additional information and where to report these issues.

Many thanks.
PCSO David Jones 31628
