Melton South Rural beat crime update

Please see below the September Crime update for NR30 which is the Rural South beat of Melton.

Crime figures for the past month from 1st – 30th September 2020.

The below does not include reports of drug offences, public order or domestic incidents.

Melton Rural South.

17th – Attempt Burglary on Main Street at 01:10hrs. Occupants hear vehicle pull up and noises from downstairs. Look outside and two suspects run off. Full investigation done at scene. Unfortunately no suspects identified at this stage.

18th – Attempt burglary at Brooksby Melton College. Unknown persons have been damaged shutters to a unit which contains tractors and gardening equipment.

Frisby on the Wreake
3rd – Unknown male seen in rear of property on Rotherby Lane. Walked off when seen by occupant. Damage to garage identified a short time later. Area searched by officers. Unable to locate male.
10th - Sometime between 10th and 12th, unknown persons have attempted to gain entry to a shipping container at the Cricket Club. Damage caused but no entry gained.

13th – Unknown suspect has entered farmland on Main Street and stolen 3 metal gates.

Old Dalby
11th – Rear number plate taken from vehicle on Croft Gardens. No suspects identified.

Thorpe Satchville
4th – Overnight, unknown persons have entered a farmyard on Baker Lane and taken a cattle trailer.

John O’Gaunt
2nd – Overnight, unknown persons have stolen catalytic converters from six cars in from same farm yard.
2nd – Theft of New Holland Tractor from Station Road. Investigation conducted. No suspects identified at this time.

4th – Overnight unknown persons have stolen cattle trailer from Gaddesby Lane, Rotherby.

Eye Kettleby
9th – Unknown persons have gained entry to work vehicle in the daytime and stolen laptop and cash.

Great Dalby
10th – Unknown persons have made entry to milk vending machine and taken money. Method of entry unknown as no sign of damage.
21st – Unknown persons have attacked milk vending machine causing damage. Approximately £70 taken. No witnesses or CCTV.

11th – Two different motor vehicles on Leesthorpe Road have had their number plates tampered with. One vehicle had both plates removed, the other partially removed. No suspects or witnesses.
