Northfield Business Watch

Alert message sent 07/10/2020 16:17:00

Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

Dear Citizen

Good afternoon

I am PCSO 30554 Sonia Williams from the Northfield Neighbourhood Team. Some of you may of already met me on the high street. I am currently setting up the Northfield Business Watch in the town along with my colleague, PCSO 30788 Karen Sutton from Weoley NHT. You may not be aware that the town is divided between Northfield NHT and Weoley NHT but as teams, we cover the town centre equally. On Thursday 15th October, I along with West Midlands Police Partnerships we will be in the town centre delivering the packs to those stores that have signed up to the Northfield Business Watch. There are 52 businesses signed up which is fantastic. In your packs, you will have a list of street offenders who are causing harm to businesses through shop thefts in the town, a list of street drinkers who tend to congregate on Prices Square and Tays Corner so you will be able to identify them, an information service agreement to sign and information about how to report certain types of crime on line. You will also have a business watch logo to display in your store window to show that you are a part of a business watch. Its all very new for us all but I feel that this is something that the town, especially the high street really needs to help combat business crime. I am really looking forward to popping into your shop next week to give you your business pack to get the watch started.

See you all next week!

Kind Regards
Sonia
