Residential Burglary and Crime Report 14 Sept 2020

Dear Surrey Heath members.

Please find below details of the currently reported burglaries (or attempted burglaries) to residential properties (including shed break-ins) as well as other crime statistics over the last period (03 Sept 2020 – 14 Sept 2020).

Summary details of these are provided in the list below.

Please note, where known I have used the approximate/actual incident date/times rather than the date the incident was reported (as there can be differences).

  • 07 Sept (09:30-12:15). Waverley Road. Daytime burglary of residence where entry gained through locked front door. No disturbance and one item missing (silver ring) from master bedroom.
  • 10 Sept (14:00) – 14 Sept (16:30). Waverley Road. Suspects have broken into property through patio doors, untidy search of bedroom and left. Nothing reported stolen as yet.
  • 06 Sept (20:45). Prior Road. Glass patio door on house has been smashed and entry gained. An untidy search of the master bedroom has been conducted and offenders have fled when the home owners have returned.
  • 10 Sept (00:00). Moorlands Road. Bike taken from garden shed within a month timeframe. Lock taken off shed door and access via fence into rear garden. Bike taken was a Trek Remedy suspension mountain bike with holographic green/purple/blue paint.
  • 09 Sept (07:00) – 11 Sept (16:00). Pennypot Lane. Offenders have broken into outbuilding which is an office. Bottles of wine have been stolen.
  • 07 Sept (08:11). Pevensey Way. Rear patio doors to a residential property have been smashed and entry has been gained where a tidy search has been conducted and unknown items have been taken.
  • 10 Sept (10:30) – 13 Sept (12:30). Buckingham Way. Patio door smashed and entry gained, tidy search completed of the bedroom targeting jewellery.

*Inc; theft from gym locker (Camberley), damage caused to pavilion by group of youths (Lightwater), office has been broken into and laptops and towels stolen (Chobham), refuse bin store broken into and jet-wash stolen (Bagshot), suspect(s) have entered a school sports hall under construction and removed a JCB yellow & black hydraulic breaker (Bagshot).
** Report of a hair salon staff member not wearing face covering when cutting hair.
***Inc; vehicle was parked outside in travel lodge car park, alarm has gone off and on investigation the lock of left side door has been damaged (Camberley), scratched bumper (Bagshot), front offside window smashed by unknown means (Frimley), suspect seen on CCTV attempting to gain entry to vehicle (Mytchett), theft of 2 x catalytic convertors from vehicles in garage compound (Camberley), theft of golf clubs from vehicle via smashing of window -bag and clubs have Camberley Heath logo (Camberley), theft of number plate (Bagshot), car has had tyre slashed whilst parked in a car park (Chobham), vehicle parked on the road side overnight has had rear windscreen smashed and set of golf clubs taken (Camberley).
****Driver of vehicle parked in car park found with cannabis on his person (Lightwater).
***** Inc; stopped vehicle found to contain a large quantity of white powder, scales and bags (Bisley), male stopped by police and found in possession of a couple of sealed bags of cannabis (Camberley), following a section 23 misuse of drugs search a quantity of suspected crystal meth was located within a vehicle (Frimley).
******Inc; victim of fraud via Sky scam and money taken from bank, victim of HMRC fraud scam, victim of bank scams.
*******Shop staff sold a knife to an underage test purchaser.
********Knife located under a seat in a vehicle (Camberley).
*********A 2x caravan encampment (Chobham).
