Alert message sent 17/08/2020 12:25:00

Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

Dear Citizen
A burglary occurred in Shottery Close between 1.10am ,& 2.10am on Monday the 17th August '20.
Four unknown offenders have arrived at the location in an unidentified Renault Megane motor car.
They have entered the right hand side of a property, and have removed one fence panel , this gave access to the rear garden.
Once in the garden they have gained entry to the property via a conservatory door .
They have entered the kitchen, conducted a tidy search, and have stolen the keys to a BMW motor car.
They then made good their escape by their point of entry.
Within an hour the offenders have returned and stolen the BMW from the drive way.
Again entrance has been gained via the rear of a property , the fence or gate was not climbed, on this occasion a fence panel was lifted out.
It is possible to use fence panel security brackets to help prevent this , they are available from D.I.Y type stores, and on line.
As the rear of properties are often  targeted by offenders , please ensure all access points are as secure as possible, please ensure all doors and windows are secure .
Consider the fitting of an Anti Snap lock to rear ,and front doors.
Information on these can be found at : www.locksmiths.co.uk
