Update of Dog Bite Incident

Alert message sent 08/08/2020 19:27:00

Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

Evening All,

I thought I would provide an update regarding the appeal I previously sent out where a White Westie type dog  bit an elderly male, whilst out in the Totton area.

We have since identified the owner and the dog, so thank you to those that have contacted us with information. The appeal also saw other victims calling in, reporting that they had been bitten by a dog of that description.

With the assistance of the Dog Warden the owner has been issued a Dog Behavioural Order which lasts the life span of the dog. The order has conditions that the owner must meet in order to improve  the dogs behaviour and to prevent it from biting people.

Keep Safe
