Alert message sent 31/07/2020 08:46:00

Information sent on behalf of Notts Police

Overnight for the last few days’ damage has been caused to the Bulwell Forest Community Garden including heavy damage caused to some of the sheds at the site.

The Bulwell Forest Community Garden are a charity and do loads of fantastic work to help support people in the locality including communal food growing, the creation of habitats for wildlife and environmental play for families. They host regular family activity days, short courses on growing your own produce, in addition to offering opportunities for volunteering.

PC Ashley Clark, Beat Manager for the Bulwell Forest ward said ‘We are keen to seek out those responsible for causing the damage, it is appalling that someone would do this to a charitable organisation that is trying to better the community in so many ways.

We will be keeping a close eye on the garden over the coming weeks, at all hours, as a means of preventing further damage and attempting to find those responsible. I encourage everyone that live in the locality to assist us in monitoring the site and reporting any suspicious behaviour.’

Do you know who is responsible for the vandalism caused to the Bulwell Forest Community Garden?

Please call us on 101 and quote incident number 0182_29072020 to provide any information.

If you wish to pass on information anonymously please call Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
