Loud music nuisance

Alert message sent 28/07/2020 14:41:00

Information sent on behalf of Lancashire Constabulary

This afternoon of the 28th July, neighbourhood policing officers helped the council execute a warrant at an address on Waverley Avenue in Fleetwood. Over the last few months there have been many complaints of loud 'grunge garage music' coming from the address at all times of day and night. The lone occupant has been warned on a number of occasions about playing the music at too loud a volume but has refused to take any notice. His behaviour was completely inconsiderate and considered anti-social in this densely populated area.

Sound amplification equipment was seized by the council and put into storage pending a court hearing. The equipment included two 15" speakers with a combined power of 2400w! This is very loud considering many pub bands use two speakers with outputs of between 300w-500w each, so you can imagine the volume of sound that could be, and was, produced.

We hope this will send a message to the perpetrator that this type of behaviour will not be tolerated, and to anyone else considering doing the same.

PC3212 Finch, Fleetwood Community Beat Manager.
