I fought the law

Alert message sent 27/07/2020 08:33:00

Information sent on behalf of South Yorkshire Police

Moorends. Yesterday evening. VW Bora reported driving at speed. Officers drop on the suspect vehicle. Bora makes off. Total loss. Officers SUSPECT they know who was driving.

Time passes.

Officers locate subject VW Bora on a drive in Moorends. No driver. Officers arrange for recovery for the vehicle. Suspect and his dad arrive on scene and park dad's vehicle in front of the Bora to block recovery. Suspect believes officers can't prove that he was driving. Suspect is right BUT suspect is WANTED for an unrelated matter. Suspect doesn't know this.

Suspect is arrested. Dad is informed that recovery will take his car first if it isn't moved and then come back for Bora. Dad's car is moved. Bora is recovered.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, please try and keep all bonding time between father and son to activities that keep both out of the cells. It's good advice. Try watching a film or playing sports
