Alert message sent 20/07/2020 21:14:00

Information sent on behalf of Humberside Police

Good evening,
We as the local Community Team are well aware of the calls for service we receive within the Weelsby Woods area of Grimsby. The majority of those calls are for the use of off road motorbikes being used illegally within the Woods. We as the Community Team attend the location and have seized motorbikes from within the Woods along with numerous warnings within legislation.
There are unfortunately numerous tims where these motorbikes have made off from the Police and away towards the Scartho and New Waltham areas. The use of the motorbikes causes concern within the Community and the bikes are racing within the Woods where there are young families enjoying a walk that are having to take evasive action due to the presence of the motorbikes.
What I am asking for in the context of this message is this, Do you have any information as to where the bikes are coming from, your neighbour, down your street, are they racing past your house on the way towards the numerous tracks that lead to the woods . This is the information I am requesting.
If you have any further information let us know by replying to this message and I can assure you that any information you provide will be treated in the strictest of confidence and your details will remain anonymous.
