Residential Burglary and stolen vehicle

Good Morning,

Sometime between 02:00hrs and 05:00hrs this morning 27/06/2020 unknown offender/s have gained access to a property on Bissell Street B32 by smashing a glass panel in a rear UVPC door, two sets of car keys for a grey Jeep VRM WO66 EWB and a blue BMW VRM YB15 BJZ were removed from the living room, offender/s smashed the drivers side window to the BMW, entered the vehicle and were unable to take it because it needed a security code entering to start it, they then took the Jeep from the drive along with the keys to the BMW and the hard drive connected to the CCTV.

Please be vigilant, lock and remove keys from front, side and rear doors, place keys in a secure area, ensure alarms are activated, all doors, windows, porches, gates, sheds, garages and fences are secured and any security lights are in good working order, also consider fitting anti snap locks and door and window alarms, fit timing lights and place valuables including vehicle keys in a safe place, you may also want to consider marking your valuables with a DNA security marking pen. Ensure any ladders and tools are secured and cannot be freely moved by any unauthorised person/s.

Ensure all vehicles are locked securely, consider fitting a STEERING LOCK/ IMMOBILISER /TRACKING DEVICE also please ensure all valuables including mobile phones, wallets, handbags, Jackets, sunglasses, cash, bank cards, laptops, tools, dash cams and SAT NAVS are removed from your vehicle, activate the alarm, place keys in a tamper free pouch and keep them in a secure place.
