Speed Watch

Alert message sent 24/06/2020 15:00:00

Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

Dear Residents,

We are looking to start up a community speed watch group in and around the area of Kate's Hill and Dixons Green.

Community speed watch is a community initiative where active members of local communities join with the support of the Police to monitor speeds of vehicles using speed detection devices. We are looking for up to 5 members to start up the group and training will take place once we have members who are keen to be involved.

The aim of community speed watch is to monitor speed of vehicles in your area, pick up trends and educate drivers by sending letters to drivers warning them about their speed. This will be run by members of community speed watch and monitored by a member of west midlands police.

There is a strict procedure in place and guidelines must be followed, if you feel like speed is an issue in your area or your are keen to get involved in this initiative then please contact me via email..

I look forward to hearing from you.
